this vintage dress is a gift from my friend mara. it was handmade in the early sixties, and has a great fit. it's ice-blue and handmade, unlined. the style is slightly japonesque, very clean. the little poochy bit over my belly is a pocket, but i feel it suggests origami. it behaves better standing up.
at first i told mara that i wasn't sure i would wear it more than once a year, as light blue kind of looks like vom on me, but i was wrong. with red miu miu pumps and a borrowed alexis bittar orchid brooch, i felt so knockout. i really want to try other accessories with it.
